Coalition for feminisms in art education

Mission

The NAEA CFAE shall represent and work to advance art education as an advocate of equity for women and all people who encounter injustice, and shall work to eliminate discriminatory gender and other stereotyping practices for individuals and groups, and for the concerns of women art educators and artists.

■ Current Board

Members of the board are elected with terms beginning and ending at the conclusion of the National art education association’s annual convention. Most elected board positions are on a two-year serving time frame.

CFAE of the National Art Education Association invites nominations for the annual June King McFee Award, the Mary J. Rouse Award, the Kathy Connors Award, the Maryl Fletcher DeJong Award, and the Carrie Nordlund Award.

Any member of the NAEA Women’s Caucus may submit nominations. Please review the specific criteria for the awards found on their individual webpages under the awards tab.

For descriptions, eligibility, and criteria view the awards section; there you will also find the application form. Applications are due every November 15th.

■ Explore the Digital Archives

Physical archives of the naea Women’s caucus are housed at the pennsylvania state university. The coalition is currently working to build and host an online space for archives so they may be activated more often and more accessibly.

The website consists of past president reports, women’s caucus columns in NAEA news, annual reports, business meeting minutes, activism, and video/photo gallery.
